CSIR CSIO is inviting online applications for the recruitment of 44 Technicians. As a Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out technical tasks related to the maintenance, calibration, repair, and operation of various scientific instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform maintenance, calibration, and repair of scientific instruments and equipment.
2. Assist in the installation and setup of new instruments and equipment.
3. Conduct routine checks and inspections to ensure proper functioning of instruments.
4. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions.
5. Prepare technical reports and documentation related to equipment maintenance and repairs.
6. Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and other technicians to support research and development activities.
7. Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment.
8. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed a Diploma in Engineering/Technology in a relevant discipline or ITI Certificate in the related trade from a recognized institution.
2. Experience: Prior experience in handling and maintaining scientific instruments will be an added advantage.
3. Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 and 28 years of age. Age relaxation applicable as per government norms.

1. Strong technical skills in handling scientific instruments and equipment.
2. Good understanding of calibration techniques and procedures.
3. Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues.
4. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
